Unfortunately, not all records related to St. Anne’s Residential School are being released by the government. Nevertheless, the Initiative, is doing their best to collect all information they can to inform the search for missing children.
You can review all collected records, in person, at the Initiative office in Fort Albany at 19 Riverside Drive or at any upcoming gatherings.
These records are also currently being analyzed. As part of this process, a list to honor all students who attended St. Anne’s is being developed. This list will include: student names, their home community, what semesters they attended the school, and a link to all historical records where information about this student appears.
The initial version of this database is also available in the Initiative Office, in Fort Albany. The database will continue to grow over time as more knowledge and history is gathered.
